Coffee at 6am before anyone else is up. The bowl you reach for without looking. Friday night, four people, too much food, nobody in a hurry to leave. A glass poured slowly at the end of a long week.

These are the rituals that make up a life, and we think the objects in them are worth caring about.

What we make room for

Herlow is a kitchen and dining brand built around a simple idea: the things you use every single day should be the things you like using.

Our range is deliberately narrow — dinnerware and cutlery, serving platters and bowls, barware, drinkware and ritual sets. We'd rather do a small number of things properly than fill a catalog with pieces nobody needs.

Every piece has to clear the same bar before we'll sell it. It has to feel right in the hand. It has to work as well on a Tuesday as it does when there's company. And it has to last — because a plate you replace every year isn't a bargain, it's a subscription.

What we believe

• Use it. Nothing here is for a cabinet. The good plates should be the everyday plates.
• Fewer, better. A set you love beats three sets you tolerate.
• Quiet over loud. Our pieces are made to sit in your kitchen for years, not to trend for a season.
• Honesty about materials. Ceramic and stone vary — in tone, in glaze, in grain. We don't consider that a flaw. It's the difference between something made and something stamped.

How we work

We're a small team. We source from manufacturing partners we've vetted, we pack carefully — glass and ceramic get wrapped like they matter, because they do — and we ship free anywhere in the US.

When something goes wrong, and occasionally it does, we fix it. A plate arrives chipped, a set turns up short, a color isn't what you pictured on your screen: email us and we'll make it right. No script, no runaround. That's not a policy we're proud of having — it's just the minimum, and we'd rather say it plainly than dress it up.

Herlow is a trading name of ECOM EAGLES LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (No. 14142895), based at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. We ship to customers across the United States, and our returns are handled locally in York, Pennsylvania — so nothing has to cross an ocean to come back to us.
